So last Monday the new season of my inner white girl fetish aired. Oh boy! I honestly have no idea why I watch that ish but sadly I do. The previews for future epis where the usual: LC is going to cry 50-11 times, that b*tch hedi talks about missing LC, that robot looking chick has a problem with LC's bestie and just SO MUCH DRAMA!

This summer was fun but there's always a negative to every story. When Bernie Mac died, it was a shocker. I would have never, never, ever thought he would have died so young and just out the blue. D.L Hughley's video got me a little choked up my damn self.The funeral looked like the way Bernie would want, fun with few tears.

ADELE! I truly do love this woman's voice! This Brit's voice is so smokey, jazzy yet soulful and powerful. I hit youtube up to get my theme music going and I listened to "First love" and I was in tears. There are few songs that stir emotions but it did,deeply. I will say this, the Brit's are mos def bringing Soul, may it be retro but soul nonetheless, back. And my God I'm I glad to hear it! Amy started it, but Duffy and sweet Adele are making it a staple in the world of music once again. On her Myspace, she listed her influences and I was far from surprised to see Alicia Keys, Jill Scott and the one and only Lauryn Hill. Call me crazy, but when I heard "First love" I thought back to the first time I heard "When it hurts so bad". Welcome to America Adele!

I stumble upon this vid today and I'm truly blown away by Duffy's voice. The Brit's have taken what our music use to sound like, learned and are doing it better. I mean better compared to today's artist that is. So what are your thoughts on Duffy, Estelle, Amy Winehouse and Adelle?

Faking it you make it

Is it better to fake it til you make it? When my aunt puts on her "face"(makeup) and steps out, her life is seemingly prefect: strong and stable marriage, amazing job and beautiful children. But behind closed doors, when her happy face is wiped clean, she carries the weight of the world on her shoulders: nieces and nephews strayed from the lighted path, a middle child willing to die to be accepted, a great job with no chance of advancement- just a pay raise and a crumbling marriage. Her marriage didn't have a strong base in the beginning (she gave the man a choice between married life or life without her after 2 years, deep huh?) She has come to me a number of times about her sacred unity. My question is, is it better to fake a happy life vs being alone? If so, when will she "make it"? I leave you with two things to chew over: 1) marriage doesn't guarantee a happily ever after and 2) Divorce doesn't occur when people don't understand each other anymore, but that they've only begun to.

I know she is said to able to sing (i know she has been on 50 million songs, but is that really sanging?) and write but when is she releasing an album? Is she gonna be like Jennifer Hudson? How many years did it take for her to FINALLY make a vid? Exactly....

Obama, Obama is looking very Men in Black-ish on one of the many Ebony cover for the 25 coolest brothers of all time. I like to know that my future prez is fly and makes turning gray attractive. Yes I said it! Obama isn't bad looking and you know it.

The vid is pretty, reminds me of the commerical for her funky "M" mess tho. All I can and will say is that she is milking that "marriage" with the choice songs being released from the album huh?

LL cool J ft/ Dream- "Baby"

I love this song! James loves amazing and the vid isn't bad but I will say this, it's very Usher "yeah!"ish to me with the "Rock with you" lights and club scence. Overall, this will be my summer song, right behind "All around the world" of course! Leave thoughts in the comment section plz!

Why is A Pimp Named Fresh Brewed bullying Soulja boy? Let it be known that I'm not a fan of Soulja boy but Ice T you aren't too much better than Soulja Boy. He wears funky shades and makes music that is borderline mentally retardation but you walk Coco aka Christal like the Champagne like she is forever on the Ho stroll. So don't down Soulja boy because you a grown man, far from a grown ass man but grown nonetheless. My suggestion would have to be for everyone to hug and let go. VH1 made me remember!

this random ass song was me and my sister's wake up shit! I had truly forgotten about it until I watched VH1 last night and I screamed my heart out! Everybody has got some weird songs that they sing the hell out of in the car, in the shower or to their dog. I know my dog was pissed last night when I attemted to hit them hit notes from this song. LOL! she had this look on her face like "bitch, get that shit outta my face. sit yo crazy ass down some where."

OneRepublic! I'll have you know that I'm a huge Maroon 5 stan so I'm loving OneRepublic. The frontman for Maroon 5, Adam has soul but the OneRepublic's frontman has got more. I only post "you should know" artist whose album I own (I still buy CDs for the full effect of the album-lame I know). I can honestly say that this album is amazing! My personal faves are listed below. I could tell you why I like them but letting you listen to let you make your own thoughts on this group would be best in my book!
