B.O.B! I remember this cat as an artist to look out for in XXL about 2 years ago, I blew him off has just another no-name rapper (Rich Boy graced the same pages as well, where the bird chest dude go? and don't give that remix to "Paper planes" either). But the other day I was tuning in on Shade 45 and I heard "I'll be in the sky" was like "DAAAMMMNNN"!!! Now I can't get T.I's "On top of the World" out my ear for shit but I'm not complaining. So I moseyed over to his myspace to right click and save a few flicks and finally listen to "Cloud 9". I recall reading the XXL article about him and this song was mentioned. Guess I won't be blowing off any other rapper to watch out for from XXL...

And don't hate on my cheap technique for posting music, not everybody got Crunk + disorderly or Necole Bitchie money, hell I got a college career to work on.

you should know...

ADELE! I truly do love this woman's voice! This Brit's voice is so smokey, jazzy yet soulful and powerful. I hit youtube up to get my theme music going and I listened to "First love" and I was in tears. There are few songs that stir emotions but it did,deeply. I will say this, the Brit's are mos def bringing Soul, may it be retro but soul nonetheless, back. And my God I'm I glad to hear it! Amy started it, but Duffy and sweet Adele are making it a staple in the world of music once again. On her Myspace, she listed her influences and I was far from surprised to see Alicia Keys, Jill Scott and the one and only Lauryn Hill. Call me crazy, but when I heard "First love" I thought back to the first time I heard "When it hurts so bad". Welcome to America Adele!

this random ass song was me and my sister's wake up shit! I had truly forgotten about it until I watched VH1 last night and I screamed my heart out! Everybody has got some weird songs that they sing the hell out of in the car, in the shower or to their dog. I know my dog was pissed last night when I attemted to hit them hit notes from this song. You should know...

OneRepublic! I'll have you know that I'm a huge Maroon 5 stan so I'm loving OneRepublic. The frontman for Maroon 5, Adam has soul but the OneRepublic's frontman has got more. I only post "you should know" artist whose album I own (I still buy CDs for the full effect of the album-lame I know). I can honestly say that this album is amazing! My personal faves are listed below. I could tell you why I like them but letting you listen to let you make your own thoughts on this group would be best in my book! It looks like Solange has finally gotten some direction with her music. I've also finally gotten a sense of direction in my life when it comes to my blog. From here on out, I'm attempting to stray away from gossip but focus mainly on my thoughts along with questions about life. Having said that, I am truly in love with this song! I'm so very happy that artist like Solange, Estelle, Amy Winehouse and others are bringing feel good music back. Great summer feel to it. Peep Solange's (i will no longer refer to her as Jane Brady because she has finally got her own thing going) video for "I decided"! Kudos!

MY HERD! My how I've missed you! You have no idea! I may have taken a little vacay but I still check my blog rounds daily so I may not post but believe that I'm in the know. One of my last post of the semester, was about the "Glow in the dark" tour which I the pleasure of viewing twice. Well since that post, Ye has been to work. He's made two more videos for the track "Flashing Lights", for a total of three videos in all. He's also do the inevitable, made that horrid club inspired "Lollipop" single decent by blessing the Tree Monkey with a remix. As I've already told you in a post earlier this year, Ye is a headliner twice this summer, his tour and the Hot 97 concert. His summer can only get better.

This video had me DYING from laughter! Do you see Mimi's raw emotion at 00:17? Damn Mimi, guess "Glitter" didn't do you justice. For those lucky sheep who don't know what "Glitter" is, it's a movie that I personally think was the cause of her break down. on to my thoughts on the video! I think it was beautifully done! Mimi looks amazing but I will say that I think she needs to get Nick's ass on the "juice" because that goon still doesn't have a chest. All of a sudden I miss my great aunt and my grandma, damn you Mimi! Eyes starting to water so I have to stop listen to that damn song. I think Mimi's reached her goal with this song.

has got Lamb Chop's approval! I told you I had high expectations for 'Ye to deliver which he did. I have no words other than genius. I enjoyed Lil Miss Sunshine's performance, but the "US placers" where the shit, mainly Lupe Fiasco! I'm enjoying my vacay over here in the ATL but that concert last night was amazing! Me and my herd of nerds have decided to make a road trip to Chi-town for the May 23 show which will be amazing!
