Lupe by now! Waslu is his given but his stage is Lupe Fiasco and I'm openly stanning for him! My Hollywood hubby has two albums under his belt and one more to go. After his third and final album, titled "LupeND", he will retire from rapping and live his life. Well ain't that some shit for my ass? Just when I find his ass, I learn that he going to retire! At least leave some money on the night stand and lock the door when you leave. As I've just told you a few lines up, he has two albums under his belt, "Food & Liquor" and "The Cool". "The Cool" is the latest of the two and more mainstream in my book. Although there are more songs that I go str8 to after listening to the spoken word, "Food & Liquor" is the better album. I could type for days about this underdog, I don't have the time nor do you so I'll spare you this time.

Tree Monkey damn near gold at the starting gate!

WHY?!?! If you don't get it by now, Lil Wayne ,or as Superhead (I call her that simply because she prefers that name vs her own, but that's another post for another day) and myself call him, damn near went gold on the day his album dropped. I've read on Bossip that it wasn't as hot as the monkey claims to be. I don't know because I don't care for his songs let alone his albums. I take that back, I'm loving the remix to "Lollipop". Then again, I only like and listen to Kanye's lines. And before Simply Dope posted that there 20 artists that have made their own remix to "A Millie". I can't deny that the monk's hot. But that's all the space I'm giving on this blog to the Monkey Man today.

Don't sleep on her

A lot of people (mainly other bloggers) think that Christina Millian is just some pretty girl who is somehow mistaken for a real artist. I'm here to openly defend her! Her last album, "So Amazin' (pic via myspace) was shockingly amazing. I won't lie, I've never listened to any of her other albums and I bought "So Amazin" on a whim after I had heard "Gonna tell everybody" once and needed another hit. The album had a handful of other hits buried away under media attention on her relationship drama and being dropped from her label. "Gonna tell everybody", "Who's gonna ride?", "Foolin" and "Ya'll ain't nothing" are the songs that this fashion forward woman bared her tiny soul and I feel her pain, for my own personal reasons. Because she was so open when they were written, a true artist was on showcase. Those unheard tracks have just won her a fan but "Foolin" and "Gonna tell everybody" got her a stan. With those two songs, you get a inside glimpse to the reason behind her and Nick's demise. In summary, she's beyond pretty with a body I would kill for but please don't stamp her as a non talent pop tart, the girl's got skillz!

Estelle's new video + review

I been speeding through the fast lane trying to finally get a glimpse at Estelle's new video and I'll be damned if that wasn't a waste of $4 a gallon gas! Let me give the postive first, I am loving the Amanda Diva and the always fierce Christan cameos! I could have done without the Kelly Rowland glimpse however. Kelly's acting skills don't go beyond music videos. Was that mean? If you think it was, think back to the "Seat Filler" movie full of D-listed celebs (can we call them that?) where Kelly played dress up and lived out her career as if she were Mrs.Carter (beyonce'for the nonknowing).I found this movie on the 3 for $5 rack at Wal-Mart and needed a third movie so...! I pop in the DVD when I need a nap. Just so you know, I like to sleep with the tv on during the daytime, so the DVD serves a great purpose in my DVD collection. Let me get off Beyonce's background and back to Estelle....to sum up my thoughts: the video has a Beyonce-Rhianna look/feel and the song is very Lauryn Hill and those artist don't mix. E, go to your room and re-do this! And don't come out to you get it right because I have to give it two thumbs down love.....

Me and my younger cousin were talking about this messy story last night and he called 50 cent Thugnicent. I damn near pissed myself, I can't lie, I did a little. For those who don't know, Thugnicent is a character from "the Boondocks" that is a assortment on rappers. Well since everyone is up to speed, on to the news! If your reading this post, then you already know that Thugnicent house went up in flames like it was made out of matches this past Friday. Now ain't that some shit? Either the mother to his son set the house a flame after watching "Waiting to Exhale", you know Bernadine stlye or Thugnicent really did attempt to burn her ass up to make a point. Well which ever way is the lighted path, they weren't that smart a 5 gallon gasoline can was found in the ashes of the Barbie dreamhouse. Ain't that some more shit? They couldn't even burn the house down the correct way. I've already expressed my thoughts on the drama between 50 and his baby moms, so I'll spare my sheep a rant. MY HERD! My how I've missed you! You have no idea! I may have taken a little vacay but I still check my blog rounds daily so I may not post but believe that I'm in the know. One of my last post of the semester, was about the "Glow in the dark" tour which I the pleasure of viewing twice. Well since that post, Ye has been to work. He's made two more videos for the track "Flashing Lights", for a total of three videos in all. He's also do the inevitable, made that horrid club inspired "Lollipop" single decent by blessing the Tree Monkey with a remix. As I've already told you in a post earlier this year, Ye is a headliner twice this summer, his tour and the Hot 97 concert. His summer can only get better.
